For the first 12 months after a new home is built it is in a defects period. This is like a guarantee period when the builder is responsible for any repairs. For any emergency out of hours repairs you will need to contact the builder’s dedicated emergency repair line directly. Please check your Home User Guide for the specific number to call.
During the defects period you should not decorate. This is so that any cracks can be easily seen when your property is inspected.
At the end of the defects period, Tamar and the builder will inspect each home to see whether there are any outstanding defects. The builder will then put these right before Tamar takes over responsibility for repairs.
