Tamar completed out a full stock condition survey in 2009. The survey was carried out by an independent surveyor. Since then Tamar has been surveying 10% of our properties every year, in order to keep the information up to date.
Tamar now uses the information in this stock condition survey to inform our decisions about which components of our housing needs to be replaced and when this should happen.
Tamar carried out a consultation exercise with our residents in 2009 to identify the relative priorities of the different components. Our residents said that replacing the windows was the most important, followed by rewiring, then kitchens and finally bathrooms. Tamar has used this information to help plan our work.
