Tamar is committed to eliminating discrimination and to promoting good relations and equality of opportunity in all aspects of its business.

Tamar aims to be fair in its dealings with people, communities and organisations with which it has relationships and to take into account the diverse nature of different cultures and backgrounds.

As a result, we provide services to help residents who might otherwise be disadvantaged, such as;

  • HomeSafe – This service provides practical help and support to people suffering from domestic violence.
  • Adaptations for the Disabled – Tamar provides some adaptations for disabled people, such as handrails, ramps, lever taps and over bath showers without the need for an assessment by an occupational Therapist.  We also work with the Council on more significant adaptations.
  • Interpreting – We have a telephone interpreting service which our staff can use to communicate with people whose first language is not English.
  • Translation – We are able to translate any documents or leaflets into another language.
